抖音练拳,挥向美团

他所认识的一个餐饮商家,其来自抖音的订单已经占到他整体业绩的70%。当然,这也并非全貌而是个案。

美团正式对抖音宣战

“先不论到家业务,我们单说到店业务,抖音在本地生活的市场规模占比每年都在提升,餐饮人已经开始决策‘我到底用点评还是用抖音了’。之前抖音占比低,商家可以不care,但现在很多店家在做年度规划时,已经不得不考虑抖音了。”

一位餐饮行业人士提到,此前他所认识的一个餐饮商家,其来自抖音的订单已经占到他整体业绩的70%。当然,这也并非全貌而是个案。

抖音通过内容正在对一些特色商家带来新增流量,但美团在本地餐饮多年的积累已经使得商家和用户形成了消费习惯,以搜索驱动的复购和最终流量沉淀才是美团本地难以打破的壁垒。

五一期间,网红旅游城市重庆的多家店主表示,自己会在淡季尝试短视频平台玩法,旺季和日常还是以美团为主,稳定的老客和较高的核销率,是其关注的重点。

抖音在去年1月正式官宣入局本地生活,之前则更多的是由平台内容自然驱动。在此期间,部分餐饮商家对于抖音本地生活的态度从最初的不在意、犹豫,到如今不得不考虑。这个转变的背后,无疑透露了抖音在促进商家线上运营时发挥的实质作用也越来越明显。

部分商家的“倒戈”,为美团业务基本盘带来了挑战。

对于抖音入局团购、外卖,虽然很长时间以来就被外界视为这是抖音剑指美团的行为,但美团过去通常表现出“不慌张、不在意”。

如今,美团的态度正在发生变化。

4月18日,在美团每月“神券节”活动之际,美团外卖开启直播首秀,同时销售外卖和到店折扣券,消费者也可以选择“囤货”。直播当天,蜜雪冰城销售额破1亿,共卖出超1500万杯,瑞幸仅生椰拿铁一个商品就卖出100万杯,取得不俗的成效。

同时,美团刚在4月11日的内部生态会议中宣布,将于4月17日在全国20多个城市上线团购配送业务,包括北京、上海、广州、深圳、成都等一二线城市。直指抖音的团购配送业务。

据光子星球了解,当前美团仅在北京、上海上线了“团购配送”入口,其他城市日前还并未开通。业务入口在团购到店商家主页的“订座”位置旁边增加了“外卖”。

“团购配送已经开通将近两个月左右了,但现在单量很少。”北京某连锁餐厅的内部人士告诉光子星球。在美团宣布正式上线团购配送业务之前,已经有一批商家提前进入内测。

此前,抖音以提升团购订单核销率为名,将客单价更高的团购套餐与外卖配送打通,这与美团原始的团购、外卖业务相比,形成了一定的差异化竞争路径。

而今美团连续开启直播与团购配送,正面防御来自抖音的侵蚀。

抖音本地终于入了美团的“眼”

美团的团购与外卖,一个到店、一个到家,在美团过去长达数十年的业务定位中都没有变过。如今美团将团购与外卖打通,这表明美团开始着力应对来自抖音的冲击。

抖音半路杀入本地生活,这两年一直动作频频,但囿于美团在本地雄厚的商家和骑手资源,长时间以来并未对抖音本地引起重视。

这或许也为抖音预留了更多发挥的空间。

一位餐饮投资人表示:“抖音做本地生活,即便外卖的声量再高,我也不是很看好。反而是内容种草以及团购,是能够侧面给美团施压的。”

即便抖音相继打通了与饿了么、顺丰、达达等的配送网络,但非自营模式下平台对于骑手的调度以及派单数据的掌握仍是一座难以逾越的大山。

一位顺丰同城的骑士提到,他们很多时候并不想接抖音餐饮的订单,外卖单距离近,收入低。同时风险很高,因为顺丰针对履约力有很严格的要求,比如送餐撒了,弄脏车子和衣服,都要罚款,所以通常不愿接单。

这也是为什么抖音在开通外卖之后,并没有选择与美团外卖硬碰硬。

抖音团购“即看即买、先囤后送”,这不仅缓解了平台运力不足的问题,同时也符合兴趣电商、内容种草的消费决策路径。

抖音的外卖之心,仍然是以服务团购为目的,而团购则正中美团的要害。

“可配送到家的团购套餐”至少在以往的餐饮消费模式中是一块空缺,抖音切中了部分人群的用餐需求,美团如今匆忙补全。

有报道指出,美团已经成立了防御小组专门研究抖音,未来还会根据对手的动作推出更多新业务。例如上线团购配送,美团补齐自身模式短板后,同样开始从价格上做文章。

据上述北京某连锁餐厅的内部人士反映,开通团购配送以来,他们家同一套餐美团的价格要比抖音低,在此之前两个平台的价格大体相当。“以我们家的3-4人套餐为例,美团团购配送套餐价格是248元,而抖音同一套餐价格是258元,这10元差价便是美团平台的补贴。”

同时美团到店业务线也在今年推出“特价团购”予以防御。据光子星球浏览发现,参与特价团购的商家主要包括黑眼熊、华莱士、蜜雪冰城、肯德基、塔斯汀等连锁品牌商家,这些商家正是抖音团购的主力军。

“限时补贴,全网低价”,百团大战之后,面对半路杀入的抖音,美团不得不再次打响价格战。

有消息称,今年3月,美团在全国发起价格战。美团所管辖的直营城市如武汉、成都,所有一级代理商的负责人、客户经理可以无条件和美团总部去申请费用。费用申请条件是单个城市抖音覆盖的top50品牌,申请费用给入驻到抖音的头部商家在美团做更低的价格优惠。

有趣的是,美团的动作重点针对到店餐饮,目前尚未触及综合酒旅,而该板块抖音目前也暂时没有明确动作。

抖音以短视频+直播的形式切入本地生活,但美团的内容化战略是否行得通还得打上一个大大的问号,毕竟以己之短攻他人之长。无论是平台内容生态的养成还是用户的打开场景,美团若以内容作为防御工具,其中充满着种种不确定性。

上线直播、团购配送、特价补贴, “低价”是痛点,也是美团反击最直接的武器。

餐饮红海,商家拥抱新平台

自上线以来,抖音团购便通过成本与价格红利快速攻陷商家与消费者的心理防线。

一位连锁餐饮商家的内部人士表示,至少从平台扣点的角度来看,抖音团购对美团点评的冲击还是很大。

“在抖音上线一个团购套餐,扣点比例是2.5%,再加上抖音还有流量补贴,已经很有诱惑力了。”

平台在扩张初期为商家提供更加宽松的经营环境,都只是阶段性红利。即便如此,很多商家还是乐意在抖音先占一个坑,静观两大平台的竞争,然后从中得利。

除了抽成外,抖音的流量成本相较美团更低。一位美团商家表示,花3000元买流量,转化的收入不过3700左右,“赚七八百元没多大意思”。

而平台运营成本的水涨船高,也正在间接拉高美团团购套餐价格。加上抖音团购处于业务开拓期,“低价”本身也是其业务渗透的战略方式之一。无论是商家还是平台,选择一个新渠道时,低价引流是共同选择。在过去很长一段时间,美团团购套餐的价格跟抖音是没有可比性的。

但美团在本地生活服务的稳定优势还在。一些店主表示,团购券的核销率,美团平均在9成以上,长期老客和本地周边新客,大多来自美团。短视频平台的流量爆发力强,但核销率低,客户哪里来的都有,留存率不高,还有额外的管理成本投入。

平台竞争对消费者和商家都有好处,无论是对于商家还是消费者,他们都是希望有新平台跑出来的。“我们希望看到有搅浑水的人出现。”上述连锁商家感叹。

因此,抖音在此期间以更宽松的运营环境,以及更优惠的价格吸引商家和消费者,本身是有效的。

吴江是一位小院烤肉店老板,据他反映,由于店内环境比较好,常常吸引很多消费者拍照打卡,于是他们就拍了些短视频发在抖音号,便陆陆续续的有人在抖音咨询。

“去年围炉煮茶突然火了,我们也就迅速反映,在非就餐时间将院内的座位改为围炉煮茶,拍了些短视频在抖音投放,瞬间就火了。”

据其透露,一直到今年春天,围炉煮茶在周末的预约量都得排到两周之后,其中95%以上的顾客都是从抖音渠道来的。

他同时表示,很多顾客下午在院内喝茶聊天,到了晚饭时间也就顺便在店内吃烤肉。“抖音火了之后,我们就没在美团做投放了。一是我们家视觉效果比较好,适合抖音推广,同时抖音带来的顾客量已经足够饱和。”

吴江表示,他们现在已经专门成立了短视频传播团队。

正如一位餐饮行业投资人所说:“达人探店,对于很多商家来说是有价值的,抖音更应该去关注那些有流量需求的新商家或新品牌。”

更多的线下餐饮商家,更看中的是线上传播为线下引流。像吴江家这类特色线下店,通过视频传播是能明显拉动线下客流量的,如今已经有削减美团营销投入的趋势。但短视频爆款资源毕竟有限,随着资源分配见顶,抖音的算法和模式也面临挑战。

而对于麦当劳这类连锁餐饮,抖音更多的是予以价格攻势,以更低的团购价格获取消费者。无论是抖音对新锐商家的截胡,还是对连锁品牌的团购补贴,这于美团而言都不是好的征兆。

群狼环伺本地生活

国内互联网正齐刷刷的卷向本地零售。

百团大战之后,美团应该没有想到自己的业务基本盘会再次被各互联网巨头虎视眈眈。

抖音之外,京东、微信的本地生活之心也相继表露。

另外,电商行业也正在从远场电商卷向即时零售,在电商购物对服务与速度要求越来越高的趋势下,本地零售被寄予厚望,美团又成了待宰的对象。

从核心餐饮、到生鲜卖菜,再到即时零售,美团正迎来越来越多的竞争对手。

究其原因,美团主营业务主要集中于本地生活服务,但凡关系到人们的衣食住行,常常具备高频刚需的特点。在互联网流量越来越稀缺的当下,具备流量入口的互联网巨头似乎都有了发挥的空间。
