来伊份与元气森林:零食与气泡水的“吃喝战

来伊份与元气森林:互相渗入对方腹地

每个时代的消费者都有每个时代消费者的软肋,而企业永远在试图抓住这些软肋。比如当代消费者对碳水、脂肪、热量的恐惧,催生出了宣称零糖零脂零卡的气泡水网红元气森林,同时引来诸多玩家入局。据数据显示,气泡水市场规模预计2025年可达到320亿元,年复合增长率保持15%左右。

从今年6月开始,元气森林又多了一个敌人:来伊份。近日,来伊份宣布推出首款气泡水产品“湃湃柠”,同样主打“0糖0脂0卡”概念。目前,该款气泡水产品已正式在线上、线下渠道上市。

来伊份与元气森林:互相渗入对方腹地

在价格上,来伊份每瓶450ml的气泡水产品,在天猫旗舰店内的原价约为6元,折后价格约在5元左右。一件7瓶、折后36.9元,平均一瓶450ml的湃湃柠气泡水约5.3元。对比元气森林的气泡水产品,两者价格相差无几。不过,来伊份在官方宣传上除了主打0糖0脂0卡,还把宣传重点放在了维生素C含量高。

在向善财经看来,此次来伊份攻入气泡水赛道,更像是对元气森林的一次反击。

在2020年,元气森林就已表现出了对零食的兴趣。最开始,元气森林只是试探性地在品牌官方小程序内售卖玩铁猩猩、ffit8等其他品牌的代餐零食。此后开始发展合作零食品牌,并且创建了王辣辣等元气森林零食子品牌。比如,在去年,元气森林在服务号中发布了一款“素毛肚”零食产品,号称“重新定义魔芋制毛肚”,以“王辣辣”的品牌面世。

另外,据天眼查专业版APP显示,元气森林还是杭州轻食主义健康科技有限公司的第二大股东,持股比例为19.8%。该公司旗下主要品牌为全麦面包品牌田园主义。去年9月,田园主义面包还曾被曝光营养成分虚标,由于触及减肥人士敏感点,该事件迅速发酵,事件以田园主义道歉、整改并赔偿消费者告终。

可以发现,双方都在渗入对方的腹地,从单纯的零食品牌或者饮料品牌,成为一个全面的“吃喝”快消品牌。

来伊份做气泡水,其优势在于下游渠道,可以借助零食渠道优势扩大业务边界,触达气泡水消费人群。利用零食渠道获客气泡水消费者。

尽管电商已经比较成熟,但线下商超和便利店一直是瓶装饮料的主力渠道。此前据媒体报道,农夫山泉曾紧急出台针对元气森林的特别政策:自家冰柜不准放元气森林的产品。与此同时,只要农夫山泉气泡水放进元气森林的冰柜,每放一瓶就送一瓶售价3元的长白雪矿泉水,封顶48瓶。

而来伊份则可以利用自身零食渠道的优势,避开了与线下传统饮料巨头的竞争。毕竟,线下一直是来伊份的优势渠道。年报数据显示,截至2021年底,来伊份已拥有3488家线下门店,同比增加484家,其中,直营门店达到2194家,加盟门店1294家。

在零食“场”下,挖掘零食渠道饮料红利,将“吃”、“喝”绑定在一起。就跟“咖啡+甜点”是一个道理,吃喝本身联系度较强,来伊份不需要再费力构建饮料认知。

通过销售气泡水,来伊份不仅扩充了新的饮料品类,还达到了将气泡水产品和来伊份零食隐形捆绑销售的目的。例如来伊份线下门店活动,从6月10日到6月20日,在伊份线下门店购物满78元(江苏地区满88元),再加6.18元就可换购湃湃包,湃湃包含湃湃柠柠檬苏打气泡水450ml和怦怦薯片(海盐味、68g)。

这和茶饮品牌选择布局气泡水瓶装饮料是一个道理,其核心就在于可以从自营的线下门店售卖,只不过门店点位受限,其渠道实力毕竟不如传统饮料品牌。

不过,来伊份在气泡水赛道的劣势同样明显:虽然可以避开渠道之间的竞争,但在上游供应链仍然受人掣肘。

在气泡水供应链上,代糖赤藓糖醇供给不足,就连当初的元气森林也被“卡脖子”。此前有内部人士透露,元气森林因为主要的代糖原料赤藓糖醇“断供”,造成严重缺货,截至2021年6月,已经导致了10亿元的销售损失,最后只能投资建厂。

夏季确实是入局气泡水的好季节,饮品旺季来临,有助于新品牌饮料的推出。不过,元气森林早已渗入来伊份的零食腹地,来伊份此时入局气泡水赛道的时机已经有些晚了,原因或许就与供应链有关。来伊份想要在气泡水赛道走得更远,或许也需要投资建厂,加码上游供应链。

但从来伊份布局新赛道的特点来看,往往“广而不深”。

不止是气泡水,来伊份此前曾先后入局过粮油调味、酒水饮料、现制咖啡、水果生鲜等多个食品品类,甚至在美妆护肤、日用百货等非食品领域也广泛涉足,从来伊份的体量来看,布局范围如此之广,除了老本行零食之外,很难深入运营其他非核心业务。

零食与气泡水是否“兼容”?

实际上,元气森林做零食没有什么问题,但来伊份入局气泡水或许并非是一个好主意。

从大消费环境来看,由于疫情的反复,社会消费需求低迷。有数据显示,近期中国消费者在快速消费品上的支出略有减少,户均花费同期下降 0.4% 。消费者正收紧钱袋子,消费偏好日渐理性,降低非刚需消费比重。

在企业端,随着石油等能源步入10元时代之后,生产成本反而飙升。企业在这时候更应该做的是提高现金流周转效率,降低资金流动性不足对自身的影响,以稳定企业生存为主要目的。比如各互联网巨头,在前几年发展激进,铺的摊子很大。如今纷纷裁撤业务线,对于没有竞争力或不赚钱的业务砍掉或者调整。

对于来伊份来说,如今的气泡水赛道,用“卷”来形容一点也不为过。元气森林走红后,娃哈哈、农夫山泉等饮料巨头也纷纷加入战局,喜茶等茶饮品牌也从现制走向气泡水零售。

各种玩家在气泡水领域的竞争已经白热化,气泡水市场迅速接近饱和状态,赛道红利也在逐渐消退。相比之下,来伊份的优势并不明显。

而且,气泡水与来伊份的零食业务属性并不兼容。

先来看元气森林布局零食业务的动作,不管是其产品魔芋制毛肚还是投资的全麦面包品牌田园主义,都是主打低糖、少盐、少油的健康零食。此外,元气家会员店的多数零食商品均显示营养成分表,食物热量一目了然。这与元气森林推出的气泡水产品逻辑相似,贴近元气森林的品牌理念。

但来伊份属于综合性休闲零食品牌,而传统休闲零食,本身与健康并不沾边,更多的是为了满足消费者味蕾的需求,反而与气泡水产品相冲突。

比如蜜饯果脯类零食,含糖量很高,不能长期过量食用,会导致人体微量元素缺乏;豆干类制品往往含油盐多,还有较多的防腐剂。饼干、蛋糕本身就含大量碳水,不能多吃;薯片等膨化类食品更是被视为垃圾食品。

因此,当消费者在来伊份零食店看到气泡水产品,联想到自身健康,甚至可能会对其零食业务产生反作用。

作为曾经的零食龙头,来伊份业绩已经历多年滑坡,扣非净利润已连续四年亏损。据财报数据,2021年,来伊份实现归母净利润3100万元,而扣除非经常性损益后,实际亏损6550万元。扭亏一方面靠投资收益,另一方面靠政府补助。

有行业分析师指出,来伊份进入气泡水领域,除了短期炒股价之外,很难对业绩提升带来实质性帮助。

夏季已经来临,但来伊份的“冬天”还将持续很长一段时间。

气泡水:才是朋克养生的真正赢家

现代生活中,越来越多的消费者处于亚健康状态,健康已经成为各类消费中的关键词。

但当代消费者又处于一种比较矛盾的心理状态,既想要保证健康,但又不想为健康克制对刺激快感的追求。一边熬最深的夜,一边花最贵的面膜护肤。也衍生出了啤酒泡枸杞、可乐瓶里加党参等朋克养生式操作。

本质上来说,国内的气泡水市场的扩张其实是迎合了当代消费者朋克养生需求所诞生的产物。

早期的气泡水(sparkling water)概念,其实指的是天然带气的矿泉水,富含矿物质。因为稀有、昂贵且具健康性,所以是欧洲贵族阶层的专属。

但国内消费者未必适应其口感,从国内流行的气泡水成分来看,叫做代糖碳酸饮料或许更加合适。既保证了消费者在口感上的享受,又给了消费者零糖零脂零卡的“健康借口”。

实际上,气泡水的健康想象力正在消失。

首当其冲的,是代糖已经从幕后走到台前,其健康争议性也被放大。越来越多的研究表明,代糖对人体健康同样会造成影响。

一项 2013 年发表于《美国临床营养学杂志》的报告,对66118 名受试者进行了长达 14 年的研究调查后显示:长期摄入含有人工代糖的饮料更易诱发肥胖及Ⅱ型糖尿病;2014年,发表在美国权威科学杂志《自然》上的一项研究则进一步证明,代糖可能会干扰人体控制血糖的能力。

近日,在社交媒体平台上也有专家发表观点,同样喝碳酸饮料,喝无糖胖的人更多。代糖的风向正在反转,大有“谈代糖色变”的趋势。

另外,气泡水同属于碳酸饮料,碳酸对骨骼容易造成影响,会腐蚀牙齿,影响钙的吸收,出现龋齿、骨质疏松等问题,这些问题未来都可能放大气泡水的负面影响,受到其“健康属性”的反噬。

总的来说,气泡水可以看作是一个朋克养生赛道,或者是一个伪健康赛道。越来越多的快消品企业想要抱住气泡水的大腿,加速“无糖生意”的步伐,但未来也要小心因代糖而翻车。
