惨淡的中概股终于迎来了些许信心。

五环内用户的消费力已经滑落到五环外

近来,惨淡的中概股终于迎来了些许信心。 

自11月底起,多支中概股尤其是互联网电商公司的股价出现了明显反弹,阿里和京东的美股股价,在10天内完成了近15%的涨幅,如今两者的市值分别达到了2374亿美元和910亿美元。 

然而和拼多多相比,这一涨幅就有些小巫见大巫。从11月29日财报公布次日开始,拼多多的美股股价从64美元左右一路大涨,最高达到92美元,涨幅高达24%,而且从市值上看,拼多多市值为1134亿美元,超京东近200亿美元。这要归功于拼多多第三季度“爆炸式增长”的业绩,其财报在同行甚至国内所有互联网巨头面前可以说是“独树一帜”。 

但在财报发布会上,拼多多尤为低调,再三强调“三季度临时账面利润增加具有偶发性,不建议将其作为公司未来盈利情况的参考”。 

偶发的判断,被很多自媒体称赞为是拼多多谦虚了。但这确实应该是拼多多公司的真实想法。因为,稍微懂得一些经济知识的朋友,都能察觉到这家公司近来的业绩增长,吃的是什么红利。 

所以,当消费降 级使其持续受益,侧面反映出来的经济状态是无法让人对未来乐观的。 

01 增长的秘密

即使在有了第二季度的超预期增长之后,拼多多的最新财报仍异常亮眼。根据财报,三季度拼多多总营收355亿元,同比增长65.1%;归属于普通股股东的净利润为105.86亿元,同比增长546%;而上一季度,拼多多营收和净利润同比增速分别为36%、268%。 

从收入细分看,拼多多三大收入来源:在线营销收入同比增长58%至284.2亿元,交易服务收入同比增长102%至70.2亿元,仅自营商品销售同比下滑了31%。正如陈磊所说,在线营销收入大增的原因之一是广告收入增长,越来越多的商家在拼多多上进行广告投放,带动在线营销收入大增,而商家的营销投入驱动平台交易增长,平台赚的钱就越多。 

而为什么商家跑去了拼多多投广告? 

除了多平台运营的需要,追根究底还是因为用户消费转移了阵地,消费信心不足的现象蔓延到各个群体,导致消费降 级, 简单来说,就是五环内用户消费力正在跌落到五环外。 拼多多很大程度上承接了消费降 级后的消费群体的需求,而商家自然就要追着用户跑。 

比如新中产,新中产原本是带动消费升级的最核心群体,可近两年危机感最强的也是他们,在外部环境的影响下,他们的消费理念和行为都发生了改变。根据吴晓波频道发布的《2022新中产白皮书》,品牌不再是影响新中产决策的第一因素,2022年,新中产在拼多多上的活跃渗透率达到58.4%,较去年同期增长8.5%,且增幅明显高于其他移动购物APP。 

大众消费降 级,消费者选择花钱花在刀刃上,一面减少生活中的不必要支出,另一面即使是必需品,他们也开始倾向于购买更便宜的替代品。这恰恰就是拼多多今年业绩大爆发的原因。

从产品品类来看,家电、美妆、日化品等品类在拼多多上的增长明显加快。以今年6·18为例,自5月23日年中大促启动以来,家电全品类销售规模同比增长103%;美妆产品的拼单量同比增长122%;日化品类整体销售额同比增长110%。 

相比京东和天猫,家电品类一直是拼多多较为匮乏、也难以与同行相争的一个领域,早期各种假冒伪劣产品的充斥,让消费者根本不敢在该平台购买家电,且平台上也多是中低端的家电品牌。但是,百亿补贴及品牌商家的入驻和让利,对寻找替代品的消费群体俨然极具吸引力,尤其是在空气炸锅、打蛋器、破壁机等小家电领域更为明显。 

正如平台数据显示,在购买家电品牌的区域中,新一线及二、三线城市仍然是主力军,订单占比接近50%。 

美妆、服饰也是如此,以往用户购买美妆、服饰,自然倾向于女性消费者更多的淘宝和天猫,可如今无论是在小红书这样的种草平台还是其他社交平台都可以发现,分享拼多多产品的内容越来越多,转化率也较高。 

一位消费者在小红书吐槽,“明明消费降 级,没有钱,恨不得买什么东西都用拼多多,可明明没钱,一个月能在拼多多上买好几十单”。 

02 经济的“晴雨表”

拼多多的超预期增长,自然给公司带来了更多的信心,可从宏观的视角看, 拼多多的“爆发”可以说与整个消费市场及电商行业的大盘是截然相反的。

据国家统计局数据显示,今年1—10月份,我国社会消费品零售总额360575亿元,同比增长0.6%,除汽车以外的消费品零售额323702亿元,仅增长0.5%。再看网上零售,全国网上零售额109542亿元,同比增长4.9%。其中,实物商品网上零售额94506亿元,增长7.2%,占社会消费品零售总额的比重为26.2% 

这和阿里、京东两大巨头的增长速度是比较一致的,三季度,京东、阿里的营收增速分别为11.4%、3%,净利润上,京东业绩扭亏为盈,阿里由盈转亏。与之相比,拼多多65%的营收增速和388%的利润增速显得“格格不入”,而这种活跃似乎与低迷的消费市场和停滞的电商行业彼此“割裂”了。 

如果仔细看2020-2022这三年间我国消费市场、网络零售与拼多多的增长态势,可以发现一个有意思的现象,即拼多多的数据越好,整体消费经济的数据就越差,这近乎呈现出一种负相关的关系。

也就是, 市场越差,多多越好。多多越差,市场越好。

根据统计局、中商产业研究院整理的数据,我们看到,2020年-2022年,受疫情影响,2020年全国社会消费品零售总额严重下滑,而今年各地疫情复发,消费经济更无法乐观,前十个月的月零售额不少都是下滑的。相较而言,2021年是消费市场活力恢复最好的,社会消费品零售总额440823亿元,比上年增长了12.5%。 

相同时间段,电商行业的发展趋势也是如此。据统计,2021年全国电子商务交易额达到42.3万亿元,同比增长19.6%,增长速度较快。 

但作为电商“三巨头”之一的拼多多,在2020-2022年的增长曲线与之不同。 2020年,拼多多的营收增速从2019年的129.74%下滑到97.37%,2021年更严重,全年营收939.5亿元,较2020年同比仅增长了58%。而到了今年,拼多多的营收和利润反而逆势增长,像第三季度,营收同比增长为65.1%,净利润更是得到了空前提升。 

在阿里、京东都表现出对最后一季度的悲观情绪时,可以预测,拼多多的业绩可能是这三年来最好的。这种所谓的好,其背后投映的经济现状,则是整体消费力的下滑之痛。

早在前几个月,站到台前的陈磊在财报会议上表示,拼多多营收的增长主要来源于“消费正在逐渐恢复以及消费者较强的购物需求”,可是大众消费需求并不是恢复了,而是从五环内纷纷跌入五环外,转移到了更能承接消费力下滑现状的拼多多上。 

也因此, 拼多多所吃到的红利是难以持续的,一旦持续时间过长,这无疑是消费市场更大危机的一个警示。

03 拼多多需要一场正面战役

近来疫情防控政策调整,我国消费市场迎来了一个转折点,反应最迅速的当属旅游行业。从多家旅游平台看,三亚入港机票搜索量、预订量均出现增长,同时,海南省的酒店、民宿预订量也在持续上涨,甚至在元旦和春节档期也有不少订单。 

在这种变化下,我们都期待一场报复性消费以拯救商家、品牌和整个消费市场,不过,目前来看,报复性消费的现象可能只属于少数人。因为 大众消费能力的下降很难在短时间恢复,消费者的消费欲望被大大限制,非必需品可能还属于生活中的不必要支出,很难出现反弹,而这种消费低迷的状态大概率还会持续一段时间。

这也意味着拼多多仍然会承接当前消费者消费降 级后的新需求,而且对拼多多利好的一点还在于,消费降 级让拼多多彻底打进了五环内,占领了不少消费力滑落的五环内用户的心智,而当这些用户一旦消费力重新回到五环内,只要拼多多还能把这种用户留住,就可以彻底改变拼多多令人尴尬的低消费用户结构和电商形态。 

这才是拼多多最大的机会。 

只是, 消费降 级毕竟是疫情影响下经济下行的产物,当疫情的因素被排除,大众生活步入正轨,对性价比的追求迟早会恢复为对品质的追求,重新回归消费升级的主流趋势,而拼多多当下电商基因属性却一直无法摆脱低廉劣质标签。 尽管拼多多这几年一直在吸引品牌商家入驻,满足消费者对产品的更高需求,可低价消费品才是拼多多无法动摇的根本大盘。 

自营商品就是一个直观的例子。拼多多做自营商品,简单来讲,就是因为不少大牌商家没有入驻拼多多,拼多多购买品牌的产品,然后再卖给平台用户,这一业务主要以数码、3C产品等产品为主。 

而从财报可看,拼多多的三大收入来源,仅自营商品销售是下滑的,同比下滑了31%。 

这和平台被诟病的假货泛滥问题仍脱不开关系。去年6·18期间,不少消费者表示在拼多多自营店铺购买3C产品时发现手机是“二次销售”甚至是“改装机”,申请售后屡受阻,由此又引发了一波投诉潮。 

一位维权的消费者称,自己在拼多多的“小米手机数码专卖店”店铺购入一台小米“红米K40”型号手机,发现手机闪屏严重,随后想要退货。可在小米官网上申请“7天无理由退货”后,小米官方客服表示消费者需提供购买渠道以申请售后,而拼多多店铺“小米手机数码专卖店”根本没有获得授权。 

拼多多的商家和用户在增多,伴随而来的是投诉也在大规模增长。在黑猫投诉上,拼多多的投诉已累计649096条,其中已完成的仅为75206件。而根据企查查数据显示,最近三个月,拼多的司法风险高达5338条,其中涉及商标、外观专利、作品发行权而被起诉的案件高达3000多条。 

产品问题不解决,拼多多扭转品牌形象仍需要更多的时间。 

在创业初期,拼多多的迅速兴起,本质上是源自五环外用户的消费潜力得以释放的红利,这也是互联网经济寻求增量的必然。而今年它的逆势爆发,只是被动得益于消费市场的负面变化,这是消费市场降维的一种体现,前后两者的发展逻辑已经完全互相背离。 

需要警醒的是,拼多多不应该像那些核酸公司一样,只顾埋头吃尽红利,然后与红利一起消失。 

在经历今年的无序扩张之后,随着正常消费市场的逐渐回归,拼多多以前面临的危机和挑战并不会结束,消费力复苏之后如何摆脱低廉劣质的标签仍旧是对其最大的考验。当然,这种考验何也许是半年以后,也许更久。而在这期间,它需要找到正确的发展方向,因为这才是拼多多的正面战场。 

而它的前辈和老对手阿里京东,已经在默默地等待着这一时刻,然后对它发出致命一击。
